3 Things you should stop doing in order to Live longer

There are so many things you can do to “slow down” your biological clock and live linger, notwithstanding whether you are in your 20s, 30s, or on the way to your 60s or 70s.

Here is what you should stop doing in the name of living longer.

1. Stop eating mainly processed food

Processed Foods

One of the main changes in nutrition, which is seen in the latest years, is consuming more processed foods. With processing come processed sodium, saturated fats, more sugar and fewer fibers.

The result?

More cardiovascular disease, hypertonia, cancer and diabetes.

According to research, no more than 2300 mg of sodium has to be consumed (less than 2.4 grams) to keep a healthy heart and blood pressure.

Yet, it turns out that people take more than 3 300 mg, the largest part of it coming from restaurants and processed foods.

Do your body a favor and try cleaner nutrition, including rich fibers foods, and prepare your food yourself. If you don’t have the time, cook in larger quantities, take fresh salads which you would season yourself.

2. Stop smoking

If you are a smoker, you know how hard quitting maybe, but here’s a small inspiration: smoking may shorten life by as much as a decade.

Regardless of whether you quit all of a sudden or one step at a time, your body will be grateful to you: blood pressure and circulation will improve, and the risk from cancer will diminish as well.

Mind you, members of the family will also make use of your effort because they will no longer be exposed to the dangerous secondary smoke. Apart from that, you will look younger.

3. Stop living the life of a couch potato

If you don’t have the time to exercise think about that: global researches show that you need to be in motion for a minimum of 30 minutes per day and 5 times per week to extend your life.

A study, which was published in 2016 in The Lancet, which examines the motion habits of more than 416 000 men and women in Taiwan, has established that only 15 minutes of moderate and intensive exercises every day help people add 3 more years to their lives
