It appears the President of the United States has one mansion too many. Donald Trump has set his magnificent Caribbean beachfront villa at Plum Bay in Saint Martin on the market.
Listing service Sotheby’s International Realty is saying the cost is available upon request. But another agency, 7th Heaven Properties, has set a $US28 million ($37.5 million) price tag on Le Chateau des Palmiers.
The 11 bedroom mansion is luxury personified, as you would expect.
The property consists of a garden villa, an oceanside villa and a manager’s house. Not to mention there are all the conveniences, including a beautiful indoor fitness centre an enormous heated pool and an open-air version, a tennis court and a good deal of outdoor entertainment facilities, such as alfresco dining areas and an outside bar.
Sotheby’s says the oceanside villa features five king-size bedrooms with full private bathrooms, including a two-storey master suite with a Jacuzzi bath and two private balconies facing the pool and also the ocean.
The remaining interior spaces contain a formal dining room seats 10, a fully equipped kitchen, an official living room, plus an every day outside dining area and also a media room.
The four bedroom garden side villa features the “Jungle Room” with king-size-bed and little living room, the “Palm Room” with king size mahogany bed, and a two-bedroom suite with queen-size beds, a shared family room and cosy dining room.
And naturally, you can’t expect a president, so there’s an enormous commercial catering kitchen for all those special occasions.
But it’s believed that the tropical refuge has been used by Trump mostly as a rental asset since he acquired it in 2013.
Sotheby’s St Martin office says rental bundles start at $US6,000 per night in the low season for the smaller of two villas.
