Eternals is based on a comic series created by Jack Kirby and revolves around a group of super-powerful and near-immortal creatures. Marvel enlisted the highly acclaimed Rider director Chloe Zhao to take the helm, and then formed a huge A-level band. Not only is the movie expected to play the role of a gay superhero in public, but Lauren Ridloff will also play the first deaf superhero in the MCU. Filming started in the fall of 2019 and will end in January 2020.

The film was originally scheduled to be released on November 6, 2020, but it was postponed due to the pandemic.
