The vehicle will draw energy from its passengers’ fitness movements.
The Italian company Carlo Ratti Associati has presented its idea for a moving water-borne gym in Paris.
The vessel will use the energy from the fitness equipment on board.
The boat is 20 meters long. It was created in cooperation with Technogym and can hold up to 45 people.
The plans are for the gym to float on the Seine in and around Paris.
Each passenger will ride on ARTIS fitness equipment, which can convert the mechanical energy from human bodies into electricity.
Among the landmark on the visiting list are the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and more.
Passengers will also be able to see how much energy they have generated on a virtual reality screen in front of them.
In winter, the boat will be covered in glass panels; in summer months, the deck will be open.
