Using its DCEU lineup finally back on the right track with the achievement of Wonder Woman. Warner Bros.
is looking forward, setting two new launch dates for upcoming superhero films. In 2020, while also allegedly setting a production program for Shazam.
The studio has established February 14, 2020, and June 5, 2020.
Release dates for two unestablished DC movies, while other report claims that Shazam will begin production next February. If this does occur, that could place Shazam on track to hit its assumed April 5, 2019, release.
There has not been much actual information about Shazam.
The Wrap reporter Umberto Gonzalez revealed that production would begin in February 2018. We reported in January that there’d be two different Shazam and Black Adam movies.
Dwayne Johnson playing the protagonist Black Adam at Shazam first, before getting his stand-alone film. Movies could be taking the 2020 release dates, but that has not yet been confirmed.
The Wrap reports that numerous other prospective films could hit that date, as The Batman, The Flash, which still doesn’t have a release date yet, or just a sequel to Wonder Woman.
Regardless of what DCEU superhero films will be put into these new release dates.
There’s already some serious competition in place, as studios begin to plan out their slates even further in advance. As of this moment, 20th Century Fox has slated Nimona for release on February 14, 2020, while Warner Bros.
Already has another “event movie” set for release on February 7, 2020, abreast Paramount’s Loud House.
No other films are arriving on June 5, 2020, but it is going to land between Warner Bros. Godzilla Vs. Kong on 22 May 2020, and an untitled Pixar animated movie on June 19, 2020.
Naturally, the schedule can, and frequently will change quite frequently between now and after that, with these dates just serving as placeholders.
We announced in February that Warner Bros. was eyeing Lights Out David F. Sandberg (director) take over the leadership of Shazam, but he is not confirmed to have signed.
The studio has announced it’ll be showcasing Justice League, Aquaman and Blade Runner 2049. During the panel, but there are always surprises, so it’s possible Warner Bros.
To announce details about Shazam, or what the other two movies which were slated for 2020 will be.
Dwayne Johnson has also teased in interviews he wants Armie Hammer to play Shazam!
The untitled animated project will disclose Deadpool 2 on June 1, 2018, while the untitled event movie has December 13, 2019, date all to itself.
