PayPal has launched a new service which will allow iPhone owners to send money using Siri.

The service will be available in 30 countries around the world – Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, The UK, the United Arab Emirates and the USA.

The smartphone will need the latest version of the PayPal app. The service can be activated by pronouncing: “Hello, Siri, please send (sum/ amount) to (receiver name) using PayPal”.

The transfer then has to be confirmed with TouchID, which verifies the smartphone owner’s fingerprint.

This PayPal – Siri integration became possible thanks to the latest iOS version. In the tenth edition of the software Apple opened the Siri code for new developers.

PayPal also works with iMessage, where users can also send money with a short message through iPhone.

The service is incorporated in iOS 10 and operates in 10 countries.
