Saudi Arabia will home to the biggest hotel in the world which promises to change the skyline in the Manafia region to a state of unrecognizability.
Only two kilometers away from sacred to Muslims city of Mecca, an imposing construction work is taking place. It must be completed in 2017 with the official opening of Abraj Kudaj. In the impressive building, the world’s biggest hotel will be housed, having more than 10 000 rooms, as well as a trade and conference center, praying zones, bus stop and several restaurants, with helipads located on the roof.
The ambitious project is estimated at $3.5 billion and will spread at a total territory of 1.4 million square meters. The hotel, of course, is at the center of a bold architectural undertaking. Its nearness to Mecca is expected to generate a serious interest from pilgrims from all over the world, who will flow every year for Hadj – the most visited Muslim ceremony.
Abraj Kudai, in fact, unites twelve impressive towers, one of which stands above the rest, which surround it. With its design it resembles a traditional desert fortress. Ten of the towers will give their guests 4-star accommodation, while the other two will be a total embodiment of luxury with their 5 stars.
